Sandy Mobley co-founded The Learning Advantage, an organizational
development and coaching firm. Almost all of her work involves
change at the individual and/or organizational level. She loves
to use improv and storytelling to create in-the-moment examples
that enable clients to view new possibilities. When new ways of
working and being are envisioned, it is easier to remove roadblocks
and let go of old ways.
Her projects are as varied and broad as her expertise.
In one, she worked with a professional services firm to create
a leadership culture. This allowed the organization to work at
higher levels in their client organizations. The new coaching
skills helped them retain top performers who wanted to be challenged
and mentored, instead of feeling like drones. Another involved
improving project management skills for a small manufacturing
company by creating a large visual representation of their work
process showing what worked and what got in the way. And, on many
occasions she has helped leaders develop the tools to create lasting
change and help their employees accept and support it.
The clients she coaches are often brilliant executives
who want to develop greater emotional intelligence or successful
executives who want a career that will engage their hearts as
well as their heads.
She loves the collaboration that occurs when varied
and talented individuals come together to create something powerful
for a client. She is passionate about learning and is constantly
stretching her skill sets from scuba diving, to improv, to deeper
coaching courses, to Tai Chi. Sandy has an MBA from Harvard University
and bachelor and master's degrees in Math and Computer Science,
combining pragmatic and interpersonal skills.
Sandy was raised in Texas and has lived in Boston,
Northern California, and now resides in Arlington, VA with her
husband.
