Perpetually curious, Charles Feltman is a student of Life. Someday he aspires to be a poet. In the meantime his life is enriched by working with corporate managers and executives who wish to become more effective at defining, refining and communicating their visions, coordinating action and leading their people. Specifically, Charles provides coaching, consulting and training for corporate leaders, managers and individual contributors.

Charles started his company, Insight Communication, in 1992 after a decade working as a mid- and upper-level manager in Silicon Valley companies. The initial focus of Insight Communication was to provide consulting and training in the area of high-tech product development and marketing, including effective leadership of product development teams. Some of the companies served by Charles in this arena include Aviant Information Systems, Cisco Systems, various companies subsequently purchased by Cisco, Fujitsu America, Mitel Corp., Network Equipment Technologies, Nortel, and Siemens Corp.

Charles also has a background in mediation and conflict management, and soon found that he was in demand in this arena, as well. In 1995 Insight Communication began offering training in conflict management for the workplace and mediation/conflict facilitation services in addition to the focus on technical marketing. Among his clients for these services have been The Chicago Tribune, Nortel, Mitel, city and county governments, and the State of California.

In 1998 Charles began working as a consultant and trainer with Syntax Communication Modeling Corp. With this work he brought his two disparate areas of focus together. His current projects include supporting the introduction of a new decision-making process with collaboration skills at Intel, coaching for more effective project management at Pacific Gas & Electric, and developing and presenting project management training courses through BCR, Inc., a worldwide provider of technical training programs (For information on this course contact BCR at 1-800-227-1234, or go to www.bcr.com/seminars/courseinfo/pmg.asp on the Web).

Prior to any of this Charles managed to earn a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology from U.C. Santa Cruz (longer ago than he cares to think about), and a masters in communications and technology management from the University of Southern California. He is also a certified NLP practitioner, certified mediator and conflict resolution facilitator, certified Syntax consultant, certified father and grandfather. He currently lives in San Luis Obispo, California.
