Karen V. Bading is a consultant, coach, and trainer specializing
in interpersonal effectiveness. She provides customized communication
and change management training to clients who range from entrepreneurs
to Fortune 100 corporations.
With Syntax Communication Modeling Corporation
she has led programs at EDS, in which consultants apply classroom
skills immediately within a simulation of a manufacturing operation,
and then with their client organizations.
Karen was also a member of a team of Syntax consultants
at PG&E in a program which combined training and coaching
to integrate effective communication throughout the organization.
A recent project at Hewitt Associates combined team building and
communication skills for a consulting group. At Rockwell-Collins,
Syntax skill building and telecoaching produced measurable savings
for a procurement team.
Karen has been an ongoing training partner with
the Los Angeles Educational Partnership, providing organizational
development to schools undergoing restructuring. Karen's projects
for MCI include customer service programs, communication skills
for technical instruction, and change management.
She leads in-house courses and coaches managers for Agilent Technologies
Lightwave Division.
Ms. Bading earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from University
of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master's Degree in Counseling
from Rhode Island College. She is a certified trainer of Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP), a model of effective communication with applications
in business, psychotherapy, and education. She is also a certified
Syntax Consultant. After teaching elementary school, she joined
the staff of the NLP Center for Psychotherapy in New York City,
where she served as Staff Psychotherapist, and as a Trainer with
the NY Training Institute for NLP.
